The client acquired this substantial site from BHP research laboratories.
An existing 3 story office and laboratory complex was built in 1971 and had won RAIA awards. It had stood the test of time and a the master planning acknowledged that it could be given a new life, in a new context. Over a 5 year timeline new office buildings have been added progressively, the original landscaping concept used as an element in connecting the new with the old. The impression today is of a high-end suburban business park that works for the way business works today.
